Really? Seriously? In all actuality???

OH...... MY...... GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY!

Something happened just now. Yes just moments ago. I cannot believe what I have just witnessed. LOOK! Just look at this picture ---

Yes, it IS a snake in a spider trap! Your eyes have not deceived you. Let me give you a little background on the matter. When we moved into our house the basement was unfinished. (It is a cute little Grandma house that I love so very much.) It is still not entirely finished, but we have put a lot of work into it and it has come a long way. But anyway... back to the story. Ever since we moved in there have been spiders and bugs in the basement. It's an older house and used to be musty cement rooms down there - what can you expect? Good news is that there have been fewer bugs the longer we've been here but we always have had a few of the sticky spider traps around. This particular one was in a corner out of the way and hasn't been replaced in a while, thus the large number of bugs (I know it is gross, but how often do you think about changing your bug traps?)

So I was on my way downstairs just a few minutes ago and there was this trap sitting in my path -- And sitting quite a distance away from where it normally is!!!! Why you ask? Because a SNAKE, yes this SNAKE had gotten trapped in it and had used it's tail to move it around. OH.... MY.... GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY! I know you need to see it again, here you have it:

I am obviously astounded at this occurrence and am still in shock. HOW did this snake get in our house? WHY was it so close to where we sleep?!!! Are there MORE of these slithering about in our belongings? And my immediate concern... How do I dispose of this thing - it is still alive for heaven sake! While I was taking this picture he was doing "that tongue thing" right at me.

Some of you may have seen an earlier post about snakes - A little encounter while doing yard work, multiple snakes, weed hacker --- Well I had no idea the little guys would try to move in for the winter! Bah! I guess I better go do something about this. I have no phobia of spiders or snakes, so it should not be a big deal, right?
Initially Outrageous, still a bit disconcerting, but all in all I find it amusing and wacky!

OH MY GOSH! That is quite possibly the bext story that I have heard in a while. I was telling ty how ironic it was for a black cat to show up on our porch on Halloween and has been stalking our house ever since. I told him it was because "They are drawn to me...lol" Maybe the snakes are just drawn to you! :-) Good Luck with that one chicky.

GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY is right! Totally gives me the heebie geebies. I know I probably would have freaked out, but Braeden would have been even worse. We would have had to make Tanner get rid of the thing. *shivers* YUCK!

Why would you do that? Why would you put a picture.....TWICE. I was thinking about coming to visit, but now I'm just really not. That is the worst thing I have ever seen, and now I WANT TO SLEEP WITH A GUN. And thanks, I'm curled up on my computer chair and afraid to put my feet on the floor. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!?!

SICK!!! First of all, I have never seen spider traps that big. I hate spiders, and it looks like you have some big spiders on there too. Yikes! Second, I know I would freak out if I found a snake that size in my house. You are a brave, brave woman! What did you end up doing with that?!? That is one crazy story and an even crazier picture!
