WELCOME to Lion's Gate Manor

www.lionsgatemanor.com/

On a whim, three good friends decided to plan a one day getaway. Who were these three: Karrianne Harris, Karri Warren, and RaNette Free. After doing a little research they discovered a wonderful Bed & Breakfast place in Lava Hot Springs called Lion's Gate Manor. Just far enough out of the way to feel like an escape, but not so far that it was an inconvenience for any of them. Arrangements and reservations were made and it was a much anticipated day. Time went right on by, as it always does, and their getaway commenced. They were pleasantly surprised to find that the location was an impressive building on a mountain road, surrounded by pine and snow. Upon their arrival a man named John welcomed them in and instantly made them feel welcome. An amusing tour was presented, and strangers soon became friends.

This was the open lounge area upstairs. It was a very comfortable space where the girls could just sit and relax. The windows let in just the right amount of light to accent the cream walls and make the whole place feel warm. There was a book case on the opposite wall filled with books and movies for their enjoyment and use. In this same room was an immaculate bird cage carved from imported wood. (Pictured below)

The same carved wood was found throughout the house. All of the furniture was specially designed and imported - Including the bed frames! They were amazing to look at in every room. The three person red velvet piece (pictured below) was placed in the entrance hallway and was truly beautiful.

Although so many of the rooms were excellent, they chose to stay in the "Roman Bath" room. Some of the decor included floor-to-ceiling columns wrapped with vines, a statue, three archways, two flower arrangements, a big round floral rug on pale green carpet, a fancy white headboard and gold brocade curtains. And as for the "Bath" portion there was of course a fancy tub set sunken into a platform with tiled steps leading up to it. There was a garden tapestry hanging behind it on the wall, and potted plants set up all around. (One could not even remotely do it justice by posting pictures, so here is a silly one sitting on the steps in front of the tub area.)

The detailed service that they received was heart-warming and appreciated. From the beginning they noticed that each of the amenities had been prepared and customized in their behalf - They smiled at the sight of 3 mint truffles instead of two. The evening of luxury was tailored to meet their needs; They had sweet dreams on heavenly soft mattresses; then a hearty home-made breakfast spread to bid them adieu in the morning.

In so much that the accommodations exceeded their expectations - the feminine trio have already entertained thoughts of returning with their husbands. :)

P.S. If any of you who read this fairytale decide that you want to make reservations (which I of course HIGHLY recommend) - Please let me know or let John at the Bed&Breakfast know so we can receive a coupon for referring you! A discount on our next stay would be fabulous - because let's face it... I cannot resist going back. And you KNOW you want to!
