Costume Time!

After researching traditional Japanese hair online, this is the style I decided to replicate. The three folds in front and crazy big with ornamentation in the back. Big thanks to my good friend Karrianne who had the patience and skill to help! She talked me into using the black spray. I was VERY apprehensive at first, but it ended up looking awesome! (Nasty super NASTY to get out of my hair the next day, but so worth it!) She did such an amazing job that it looks like a wig!

Check out the chopsticks in the front, along with some tiny metal flowers in the very front that you can't see here. Alternating hair and ribbon to make the big circle. Then the Red flowers with cherry blossoms in the middle. On the bottom right we added some strands of beads - not very visible in the photo. So incredibly fun to wear and see on my head!

This would be my samurai. Jake had the sword already so we worked around that. The white part is his Kenpo Karate Gee and the dark over shirt is actually authentic. (My Father went to Japan on a mission and this is one of the articles of clothing he brought back.) He ended up battling it out with a Jedi Knight that was at the party - interesting pair I thought.

Then the photo that highly resembles abuse. :) It's okay, that's how he expresses love. hahaha! Just a goofy picture with bad lighting.
