"A contraction is a single word made by combining two other words using an apostrophe."
FOR EXAMPLE
do not = don't
does not = doesn't
did not = didn't
is not = isn't
are not = aren't
was not = wasn't
were not = weren't
have not = haven't
has not = hasn't
had not = hadn't
would not = wouldn't
should not = shouldn't
could not = couldn't
AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON... THEN THERE IS THE WORD WON'T.
What two words do you put together to get won't? It means will not, but how does Wo represent will and become won't. So my point is that this word should technically be willn't.
I willn't carry on about it any longer, but I definitely could!

LOL I love you. LOL You crack me up.
HOWEVER...
This now officially bugs me, too. LOL! I will now say willn't and I willn't say won't anymore.
I'm sure it'll catch on in a few years...
