5th Day of Christmas

If it’s anything like ours, your household is busy
Some days it’s so much that way, you feel almost dizzy
Schedules fill up quickly; you are always on the run
One thing you have finished, but there’s more to be done

Things get broken often so they end up getting tossed
The worst is when you buy something, and then it’s lost!
The dryer eats your socks; they are nowhere to be found
It seems to me the scissors hide, for this they are renowned!

You saw that gizmo yesterday, but where is it now
The tool you need ended up outside, don’t ask me how
When silverware is missing you can check the kitchen drawer
But you might have better luck if you look on the floor!

We cannot solve the mystery of the mismatched socks
Or give you time to search for things by stopping your clocks
But here’s a set of something that WE frequently misplace
Watch out once you open them, or they’ll be gone without a trace

In case this is what happens, and you are again down to none
At least you have 5 more chances of coming up with one 
